The story of Steins;Gate is set in Akihabara, a district of Tokyo, and revolves around the self-proclaimed scientist Rintarou Okabe. Now Lelouch has something he can use to destroy the empire of Britannia and so he begins his preparations for the campaign to destroy it.

The story of Knights of Sidonia begins with the young Nagate Tanikaze, who lives in a hideout with his grandfather and spends most of his life training in a simulator for a Guardian (a pilot-controlled fighting robot). One day, however, when the rice runs out, Nagate sets off to get supplies or steal them.

He is caught and captured. A short time later, he learns that he has not been on earth his whole life, but on a spaceship that left the green planet more than a thousand years ago. The decisive factor was the invasion of the alien Gauna, a hostile species.

Now the rest of humanity is on board of the Sidonia, a 91,863-feet long and 22,965-feet wide spaceship, which resembles an octagonal prism. Thereupon Nagate makes a decision that will change his life forever: He signs on as a Guardian pilot to defend humanity’s last stronghold against the Gauna.

“Kengan Ashura” takes us into the Edo period of Japan. At this time it is quite usual that gladiatorial arenas exist in various regions of Japan, where powerful warriors can measure their strength as a pastime for wealthy businessmen and traders.

Yamashita Kazuo is a normal 56 year old office worker – until one day he is hired as a gladiator by the chairman of his company. These gladiators compete in so-called Kengan matches to protect the rights of the company they work and fight for. Yamashita is supposed to fight a mysterious Kengan fighter named Tokita Ohma in the so-called Kengan Annihilation Tournament – in the hope that he will win the place as chairman of the Kengan Organization.

Sixty years earlier, during the construction of the Kurobe Dam, a black relic of unknown origin was discovered. The UN started to investigate it, which is why a separate research facility was built right on the spot.

When Yukina, the daughter of the current director of this research centre, comes into contact with the relic one day, she accidentally activates a mechanism that releases the young samurai Kennosuke, who has survived in cryogenic sleep.

This discovery turns out to be a fluke because Kennosuke proves to be the only effective weapon against the simultaneous attack of alien invaders. Only he and Yukina, now biometrically synchronized with the relic, can control a black Mecha, the only one who can take on those of the invaders.
