New Girl is one of those series that I went into without any expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I thought the series was damn good and almost always laughed. The whole concept of a three-person flat share with two men and a “crazy” woman lol – I knew it would be funny.

And the three guys in the series are really well-written, too. I don’t even know who I would choose out of the three if I had to. I thought Nick, Schmidt, and Winston were outstanding in New Girl. Of course, the women were outstanding as well, especially Jess. Jess is just such a well-written, chaotic character that Zooey Deschanel PERFECTLY portrayed. We fans also got quite a few seasons – 7 in total.

Even though the last season only had eight episodes. But let’s be honest, after everything that happened (happy ending from my point of view), we didn’t really need more. But I definitely appreciate Elizabeth Hughes Meriwether for trying to give us more New Girl. But also for then calling it a day after eight and not dabbling further.

As a whole, I think New Girl is one of the best sitcoms ever. You just get everything and, above all, a lot of amazing comedy. I think New Girl is a bit underappreciated – maybe that’s because of the title “New Girl,” and some people thought it was a “girl show.” Oh boy, are they wrong – because New Girl is so much more.
